Last year, my husband turned 60 years old! I know.  Can you believe that I am married to a 60 year old?  We digress.

All he wanted was a trip to Disney with some of his closest friends so we packed it up and made Disney our "group trip" for the year.  Because we had three friends that are definitely not "Disney People" I had to plan the trip that would involve the most amount of adult fun and the least amount of waiting in line with children.

I decided to have us stay at the Dolphin and Swan because people could use their Marriot points to book the hotel and because it is closest to the Boardwalk and Epcot; two of the places where the most amount of drinking can be done.

We arrived to the hotel at 5:30pm, checked in, changed and headed straight to the Board Walk! 

We had cocktails at AbracadaBar and then dinner at the The Flying Fish!  One of the best dinners we have ever had at Disney!  Absolutely recommend 10/10 - NO NOTES!

On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at Atlantic Dance Hall and did some dancing before turning in!  Honestly, I had never been to Atlantic Dance Hall before.  I feel like every time we passed it, on previous trips, it was closed.  It was a fun spot to grab some drinks a bit later in the evening.  Definitely put it on the list if you want to extend your day a bit! 

 The first full day, we walked to Epcot via the boardwalk/ back entrance - one of the best reasons to stay at the Swan/ Dolphin! 

We hit up Ratatouille first because we thought it would have less of a line first thing in the morning.  We were correct and we only waited maybe 25 minutes.

Spaceship Earth is a must for my husband and I so we jumped right on before hauling it to everyone's favorite Guardians of the Galaxy.  Of course we had a fast pass for that one - the group would have killed us if they would have had to wait in that line. Soarin' was our last "MUST DO" ride and then we moved on to the cocktails!

We had a brief detour to Geo-82 which was so worth it! They had one of the best old fashions and the theming and vibe were outstanding.  I could have stayed there all day!

Afterwards, we went straight to Mexico to start our quest to Canada.

We had all the cocktails, all the yummy food and all the ridiculousness that you'd expect from drinking around the world! (See TikTok and Instagram for the 411)

We finished in Canada about an hour before the fireworks were starting so we jumped on the Skyliner and headed to the Riviera.  We went up to Topolino's Terrace and much to our surprise, the terrace was empty. 

We enjoyed some wine until the fireworks started at the Magic Kingdom and then Epcot.  Let me tell you - This is the way to go!!

We had a perfect view of the fireworks at BOTH parks and they pipe in the music from each show!  It's just like being at the parks, but there is no crowd and they have much better wine!  

The next day was our Downtown Disney day starting with lunch at Art Smith's Homecoming.  Typically, this one is a fan fave, but this time, it was a miss for me.  It was OKAY, but just not the delicious experience we had in the past.

We shopped around for a bit and then grabbed cocktails on the water at Summer House.  FUN NEW FAVE for sure!

We took the bus back to the hotel for a quick change and then we all caught the boat to Hollywood Studios for the Jollywood nights party.  Another great reason for the Swan and The Dolphin is the boat to Hollywood Studios!

Tower of Terror was up first, and then we headed to Oga's Cantina for some snacks and drinks.  Obviously, Oga's is a "Must Do" if you are a Star Wars fan, but even if you are not, the theming is just do fun!  It's worth going at least once!

While we were in the Star Wars territory, we hit up Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run.  Again, you have to do these at least once in your life, even if you're not a fan!

We hopped over to Toy Story Mania and Slinky Dog and then finished with my favorite, Mickey's Runaway Train!

We watched the Christmas show with drinks and snacks at Brown Derby and headed back to the hotel.

The last day, my absolute favorite day, was a hotel hopping tour! 

Breakfast at the Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge before grabbing a drink at Geyser Point.

We hopped on the boat to the Magic Kingdom where we took the monorail to the Polynesian Resort.  While we would have loved to go to Trader Sam's, our favorite spot (top three in all of Disney) is the newer Wailulu Bar and Grill.  You HAVE to try the banana Old Fashion.  It sounds weird, but just trust me!

After hours, we jumped back on the monorail and went to the Grand Floridian Resort.  The Perch had just opened so we had a drink there before ending our hotel hopping tour at, what I call, Bell's Bar - Enchanted Rose.  We had a great little section all to ourselves in the back (Thank God, because had several glasses of wine - and snacks)!  It was the perfect ending to the day!

Believe it or not, we were not done yet! 

We took Ubers back to the Swan and the Dolphin, we freshened up and met at the Dolphin for a pre-dinner cocktail at Phin's Bar.  We ended the night, AND THE TRIP, with a wonderful dinner at the new Steakhouse at the Dolphin, Bourbon Steak (by this point, we were all done with pictures so there's only one lonesome photo of the cute little complimentary fries - so worth it, by the way!)

It was a fantastic trip - quick and jam-packed with the most important, yet least annoying, of the parks, some great restaurants, all the best bars the hotels have to offer and too many drinks and snacks to count!  

While I know the non-Disney friends might never return to Disney, I think it's safe to say that we had the most Adult version of a Disney trip, without being "Disney Adults" (not that there's anything wrong with that)!
